Joseph NorwoodJoe Norwood is a Founder and Managing Partner of Prodigy Executive Search. He specializes in recruiting sales and technical professionals and executives to capital equipment manufacturing companies–with particular emphasis on the machine tool industry.

Joe has more than 25 years of experience in all facets of the machine tool industry where he has served as president and CEO of Chiron America, Command Tooling Systems, Murata Machinery, and Olofsson Corporation. He also is a veteran of General Electric and Dravo Corporation, where he worked in the aerospace and engineering construction industries, respectively.

As a corporate executive, Joe’s strength is in hiring and developing highly effective teams that produce positive results in difficult industry environments. His engineering background, his sales and marketing experience, and his executive leadership challenges have given him insight into the education, experience, leadership, drive, and interpersonal skills required to be successful in business.

Joe is an avid golfer and has been married to his business partner, Eugenia, for over 30 years.  He’s also a foodie who loves cooking up new and exotic dishes for his partner and biggest fan.

Eugenia Kaneshige – Partner

EK LIEugenia is a Founder and Partner of Prodigy Executive Search and also Managing Partner of Norwood Career Advisors, which offers coaching on all aspects of the job or career search. To avoid any conflicts of interest, she does not coach any clients of Prodigy Executive Search.

For job seekers, coaching may begin with helping to identify an ideal career path–either in the same industry, or a new one.  Or, it may start with presentation skills and end with negotiation of compensation. For the sales professional, her specialty is helping people to identify their unique selling proposition and showing them how to find and connect with their ideal clients.

Eugenia worked for 24 years in pension fund consulting and investment management, including positions with Frank Russell Company in Seattle, Washington, and Republic National Bank of New York, where she was the Senior Investment Officer of the Trust Department.  She also had her own consulting practice providing manager research to the pension fund industry.

Eugenia graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. from Hunter College, and has an MBA in finance from the Stern Graduate School of Business (formerly NYU). She has passed all three exams for the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. As part of her undergraduate work, she spent a semester at Kansai Gaidai University in Hirakata-shi, Japan, and as a graduate student participated in NYU’s international program at Latin America’s premier business school, E.S.A.D.E. in Barcelona, Spain.

Eugenia is Trustee of the Nishioka Charitable Foundation, a non-profit organization that funds scholarships for medical students.  She does volunteer coaching with several organizations and is a perennial student in the fields of philosophy, psychology, sales and marketing, leadership, and organizational behavior.  She enjoys figure skating, practices meditation and yoga, and is an avid fitness buff.
